Gone With the Wind

Synopsis

Scarlett O’Hara, a consummate Southern belle, leads an idyllic, self-involved life on her family’s plantation, Tara. Her days are occupied with polite society’s rituals and restrictions – and flirting with the roguish Rhett Butler – until the onset of the American Civil War. As the war alters Scarlett’s life, and the trajectory of the entire nation, Margaret Mitchell contends with the complexities and corruption of the society she was raised in.
