The Art of Living
Synopsis
Osho shows what it means to live consciously – how living can become an art. He explores five virtues – which those familiar with the Jaina sages will recognize as an echo of their central views – and tells anecdotes about the great mystics, including Mahavira, the last Jaina sage. Osho explains how applying the principles of nonviolence, non-possessiveness, non-theft, non-desire, and non-unawareness can transform the simplest of actions – and the most powerful of energies, sex. Awareness of the unconscious aspects of everyday behavior can lead to the highest peaks of consciousness.
“Stop worrying about the higher, worry about the lower and go on breaking down your unawareness at each and every step. From where will you start? You always have to start from where you are, from the level you are at, and the name of that level is the conscious.” – Osho
