Romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet, one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays, was written between 1591 and 1595. Set in Verona, the story follows the young Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, who fall irrevocably in love with each other, despite a bitter feud between their families. This tragic tale of two star-crossed lovers, whose deaths reconcile their families, is one of Shakespeare’s most widely performed plays, and has been adapted for film, television, radio and the opera.
