Ved Vyasa
Ved Vyasa, born Krishna Dvaipayana, is revered as one of ancient India’s greatest sages and literary giants. Legendary tradition credits him with categorizing the singular, eternal Veda into four distinct texts – Rig, Sama, Yajur and Atharva – earning him the title "Vyasa" (the compiler). Beyond organizing Vedic knowledge, he authored the expansive epic Mahabharata, within which resides the spiritual cornerstone, the Bhagavad Gita. He is also traditionally regarded as the author of the eighteen major Puranas and the Brahma Sutras.
