The Oedipus Trilogy

At its core, the Oedipus trilogy – Oedipus Rex, Oedipus at Colonus and Antigone – traces the tragic fall of the Theban king Oedipus, who unknowingly fulfills the prophecy of patricide and incest and the fallout that consumes the next three generations of his lineage – notably, his daughter Antigone’s fatal defiance against state law while in the bounds of familial duty.
