Why I Am an Atheist & Other Works

The acclaimed Why I am an Atheist followed a direct confrontation between Bhagat Singh and a devout revolutionary and his fellow inmate, Baba Randhir Singh, who repeatedly tried to convince him of God’s existence. Herein, Bhagat Singh rejects the comfort of religion, often used as a crutch by the insecure, and advocated for redirecting such conviction towards a different kind of faith – one placed not in God, but in one’s country, in autonomy and in altruistic policies.

Bhagat Singh's philosophy finds its fullest expression in this collection, which compiles his most deeply political yet personal works.
