Amyra Singh Basu

Amyra Singh Basu is a student at The Madeira School and a young writer exploring Artificial Intelligence from her generation’s perspective. Having grown up in an algorithm-driven world, she brings a clear, relatable lens to topics like digital identity and human–AI interaction. Through her work, she aims to help young people better understand and question the technology shaping their lives. A nationally recognized black belt, Amyra pursued karate for over a decade before moving to the United States for high school. Now, she is actively involved in her school community, serving as a Resident Assistant in her dormitory, an editor for her school newspaper and a member of her school’s technology committee. When she is not cramming for tests or writing poetry and prose, Amyra can be found reading, spending time with her family and friends, obsessively creating Spotify playlists and drinking several iced lattes a day.
