Binod and Rabinder are cousins brought up as brothers, Binod sincere and high-minded, Rabinder in and out of trouble. Binod becomes a journalist who aspires to be a writer. Rabinder, the one always full of plans, grows up and gets arrested for running a porn parlour. When a Bombay film director approaches Binod for a script one day, and Rabinder has just come out of jail looking for new avenues, the ambitions of the two men unexpectedly intertwine.
